On the morning of October 15, two kamikaze drones attacked the Northwestern Regional Military Command (Na-Ma-Kha) in Monywa, Sagaing Region, where the deputy junta chief General Soe Win was reportedly present, according to a statement from the Daung Ta Mann operation team.
The announcement mentioned that the strike involved one Kamikaze drone hitting the military headquarters where deputy junta chief Soe Win was present, as well as another drone targeting parked helicopters within the compound. It was reported that the attack was carried out shortly after receiving intelligence about the deputy junta chief's arrival.
Although the extent of the damage is not yet known, it was reported that after the second explosion, a helicopter from the Northwestern Regional Military Command headquarters flew overhead to secure the area, followed by the departure of two helicopters fleeing the scene.
The attack was part of the "Daung Ta Mann" operation, carried out by multiple revolutionary groups, including the Shar Htoo Waw Technology Team (Team 3) of the PDAF from Ayeyarwady Region, the Shar Htoo Waw Technology Team (4) SSTF (Salingyi Special Task Force), the Eagle Wings Drone Force, the Veda Pyan Drone Team from Ayeyarwady Region's People's Defense Team, Union Brothers-UB, Share Your Strength Support Group, and local battalions and units. After the operation, the Daung Ta Mann joint forces safely withdrew, as reported in the statement.
