TNLA Holds Memorial for People’s Defense Forces in Operation 1027 Anniversary

The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) held a memorial ceremony honoring members of the People’s Defense Forces who lost their lives during Operation 1027.

In remembrance, a dedicated donation was made to honor all members of the People’s Defense Forces, the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF), and the TNLA who gave their lives fighting against the military regime.

Operation 1027, launched on October 27, 2023, by the three Northern Alliance groups, marks its one-year anniversary on October 27, 2024.

During Operation 1027, Spring Revolution forces joined the three allied groups. In Part 1 of the operation, the TNLA/PSLF reported capturing several towns, including Namhkam, Kutkai, Namtu, Manton, Namhsan, Monglon, and Mongngaw, through offensive action.

In Part 2 of the operation, forces continued advancing, capturing Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Nawnghkio, Mogoke, and Mongmit. Now, only Taungkham Camp is left to attack.

The PSLF/TNLA Information Team affirmed that all who sacrificed their lives in the year-long resistance against the military will be honored and remembered in history for their bravery and dedication.
