The National Unity Government has sent out a message of respect on Kayan’s people on the (23rd) Kayan National Day
The National Unity Government has sent a message on the (23rd) Kayan National Day that it acknowledges and respects the equality for all ethnic groups, efforts and sacrifices of the allied Kayan people who have sacrificed and participated in the battles for the establishment of a guaranteed federal democratic union.
It is reported that Kayan tribes, Kayan armed resistance organizations and representatives of various Kayan religious organizations gathered in the villages of Kyla and held a Kayan National Conference on April (8, 9, 10) in 2000, Karenni (Kayar) State in Di Mosso Township.
At that conference, Kayan Kangan, Kayan Lahta, Kayan Kedaw and Kayan KaKhaung said that they were able to come together as a group of Kayan nationals under one national flag.
It is said that NUG sent this message wishing that the Kayan people will work together to build a federal democratic union where everyone is united and fully guaranteed equality, regardless of the sacrifices made throughout the revolutionary journey.
