The Central Working Committee of the National League for Democracy issued a statement urging ASEAN leaders to release all unjustly arrested political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, as soon as possible by the 5 Common Agreements.

In the statement, it was stated that to freely present Aung San Suu Kyi's opinion to the public, which is important as a way to solve Myanmar's political problems, as ASEAN leaders, by the 5 ASEAN Common Agreements, all unjustly arrested political prisoners, including Aung San Suu Kyi, should be released as soon as possible and work hard to express their opinions freely.


In addition to this, the Central Work Committee also pointed out that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's opinion and the statements of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Thailand are not in a situation where the subject can freely express himself or herself, so it is doubtful to assume that every statement is genuine.
