The military council troops attacked by air in the battle near the Namaum village in Muse.
Residents of Namaum Village, who did not want to be named, said that the military council troops came and fired with an attack helicopter at Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) troops stationed at the Zaydikone near Namaum Village in Muse Township at around 11:00 this morning.
Since the last few days, around 200 TNLA forces have been active in Namaum village on Muse Union Road.
A resident told RFA that the Military Council forces started firing heavy weapons toward Namaum village starting yesterday evening, destroying homes and shops.
" Since yesterday evening, the situation has been bad. The army shot from 105 miles away with heavy weapons. The Namaum shops were destroyed. This morning, a helicopter was shooting near the Zaydikone. Villagers can't go anywhere. TNLA forces are still in the village.”
Some residents said that the military council might be trying to remove TNLA forces that dominate Muse Union Road.
A TNLA Information Department official said the details of the fighting were not yet known.
In Northern Shan State Kyaukme, Muse, and Kutkai townships, the fighting between the military council and the TNLA forces is becoming more and more fragmented these days.
On the evening of July 23rd, near the village of Seilant on the Muse-Namhkam road, the Namhkam militia under the military council and the TNLA forces fought for more than an hour, and a member of the Namhkam militia was killed.
