The military council army bombarded Panpa village.

CDF-Mindat announced that 3 civilians, including a 4-year-old boy, were killed in an aerial bombardment by the Military Council during Thingyan.


The military council army bombarded Panpa village, Chin State 6 times with 2 jet fighters on April 16th, at around 3:00 p.m., killing 3 civilians, including a 4-year-old child.



A CDF-Mindat official said, "From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the army attacked with two jet fighters. It was about 6 times in total. They attacked Panpa village with 17 bombs. Two died at the scene. A 4-year-old child died of serious injuries while being treated.”


A CDF-Mindat official said those who died in the airstrike were 4-year-old HakuShein, 70-year-old Daw HayaungTo and 17-year-old, Htan Myuu Man died of serious injuries while undergoing treatment.

As a result of such shooting, 2 men and 5 women, in a total of 7 people were injured and a total of 9 houses and schools were burnt to ashes, the official added.

The Chin Defense Force - Mindat reported on April 16th that the military council troops in KhaLaYa (274), Min Tat township, are also attacking Panpa village with such heavy weapons.

Aid and relief workers say that a total of 168 people have been killed, including 37 children, in the military council's aerial attack on Pazigyi village, Kanbalu township, in Sagaing Division.

The increase of deaths are due to the action by the military junta such as when they air-bombed the crowd who were holding a pavilion for the opening of the office and feeding donations in the morning of Pazigyi village on last April 11th.
