The German Embassy announced that they will continue to provide aid to Myanmar citizens.
The German Embassy in Myanmar, based in Yangon, announced on April 21st that Germany contributed the most to the Myanmar Humanitarian Fund (MHF) in 2022, up to 12 million euros, and will continue to provide aid to Myanmar this year.
It is also stated that the humanitarian needs throughout Myanmar are significantly higher, and the difficulties encountered in humanitarian operations were discussed between York Schuegraf, the person in charge of the German Embassy, and Ms Danielle Parry, the deputy head of UNOCHA, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs based in Myanmar.
According to UNOCHA's statistics as of April 10, there are more than 1.8 million internally displaced people throughout Myanmar.
