The offensive, which began around 7:00 AM, was conducted by joint forces from the Shwe Bo District Command, the District People’s Defence Force, and the People’s Defence Forces from Tabayin and Butalin towns. They targeted positions held by the coup army and allied Pyu Saw Htee militia. A reinforcement column from Ye-U Town was effectively blocked by local People's Defence Teams, and the attack is still ongoing.
The military council and Pyu Saw Htee forces have retreated, with 123 junta soldiers surrendering. Additionally, 241 non-CDM employees and 81 non-CDM family members are reportedly being well cared for by the revolutionary forces.
The fighting between the coup army and revolutionary forces continues. Reinforcements have been observed arriving via helicopter, with Mi-35 and Mi-17 helicopters reportedly involved in ongoing airstrikes near Tabayin.
