Revolutionary Forces Penetrate Central Myanmar, Call on Junta's Employees to Join Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM)

Following the revolutionary forces' advance into central Myanmar, all employees working under the coup regime in Myingyan District were urged to join the CDM, leading to the flight of non-CDM employees.

According to current reports, nearly all departmental and factory staff in Myingyan Town have fled to nearby towns. Only Yoma Bank in Myingyan Town is allowing withdrawals until 11:00 a.m. Additionally, it is reported that all police in Myingyan District are hiding in Mount Popa. Gas stations are also closed, and the Myingyan Public Action Committee has indicated that some shops have removed and stored their oil pumps.

The revolutionary forces have urged the remaining coup army personnel in Myingyan District to leave the district as soon as possible and to report to the Non-CDM Affairs Management Committee. Locals stated that patients were discharged from Myingyan Hospital today, August 14th, and that the military's functions have ceased in Natogyi, Ngazun, and Taungtha within Myingyan District.

The Myingyan Community Action Committee reported that temporary offices are currently being opened at the General Administration Office, department offices, and the steel factory. Around 200 military personnel have been deployed for security. It is also reported that nearly 50 coup forces have been deployed at Yonesingyi Police Station in Thaungtha Township, as well as at the Home for the Aged, the Gas Pipeline checkpoint, and town entry/exit checkpoints, which are being thoroughly inspected.

Local Defense Forces have issued special notices advising people not to travel along the Myingyan-Natogyi Road and Myingyan-Taungtha Road, where intense fighting has been reported.
