PNDF, KNDF and NPT PDF troops entered to rescue 15 refugees who remained in the village when the terrorist military council arrived in Taung Sa Lone Village, Pin Laung District.
The Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government (NUG) has released a report saying that the Pao National Defense Force (PNDF), Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF); Nay Pyi Taw People's Defense Force (NPT PDF) rescue 15 local people who remained in the village when the terrorist military council arrived in Taung Sa Lone Village, Pin Laung Village, Shan State.
On the morning of March 8th, when the Terrorist Military Council arrived at the monastery and the Ywar Htake Pagoda in Taung Sa Lone village, the PNDF inquired about finding a Pao ethnic group fleeing the war during the rescue operation. He said that he knew that there were still people who were not in good condition, thus emergency rescue was carried out.
It was only within 100 to 500 meters of the remaining villagers' houses from where the enemy's terrorist military council arrived. It is reported that the PNDF and the twin battalion forces cautiously approached the enemy and rescued a total of (15) villagers safely.
After the rescue operation, they were able to receive health care together with the relevant medical teams, and they also shared some food and arranged for them to be reunited with their families, he said.
The PNDF and KNDF reported that on March 22nd, the military evacuation camp where the families were located was taken to unite the families of the refugees
The PNDF provided 20,000 kyats each to the 15 people who were rescued, as well as 30,000 kyats for the travel expenses of the social workers who came and transported them.
The coup army treated the people as enemies, arresting and killing them. They are being used as human shields. That's why, when military council troops enter various regions where local residents are forced to flee, he said.
