Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein’s first comeback solo concert on November 2 at the Gracepoint Conference Centre in Islington, London, attracted more than 1,000 Myanmar nationals across the UK who attended to show their support.
The event raised over £80,000, which will reportedly be donated to areas in need in Myanmar.
According to the event organizers, this was the first event to reconnect with fans after the 2021 coup , and Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein lent her heartfelt support to the cause. During the concert, she performed a tribute song for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who remains imprisoned in Myanmar, as well as songs dedicated to political prisoners and those advocating for democracy.
