On the evening of October 19, ministers of the National Unity Government (NUG), including Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe of the Ministry of Health and Education, Union Minister U Htin Linn Aung of the Ministry of Communication, Information, and Technology, and Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the UN, met with Myanmar ethnic community members who have been steadfastly supporting the Spring Revolution in Boston, Massachusetts.
During the meeting, U Kyaw Moe Tun provided updates on international relations and diplomatic developments concerning the revolution, including his official speeches at the United Nations. Dr. Zaw Wai Soe discussed the current resistance efforts against the military dictatorship and its allies.
U Htin Linn Aung highlighted the importance of the people’s revolution and the active support of Myanmar nationals worldwide, emphasizing that the just revolution must succeed.
The ministers expressed their gratitude for the widespread support from Myanmar citizens around the world and emphasized the importance of achieving victory in the just revolution led by the people. They encouraged continued backing for the revolutionary efforts.
The meeting was attended by Myanmar ethnic community members, students, and supporters from Boston and nearby states, who also engaged in a Q&A session with the NUG officials.
