Nearly 1,300 Civilians Killed in Myanmar Over Three-Month Period

Nearly 1,300 civilians have been killed in Myanmar over the past three months due to ongoing fighting and targeted attacks, according to data compiled by Nyan Lynn Thit Analytica.

More than 1,300 people were reportedly injured in similar incidents. This figure is several hundred higher than the number of civilian casualties recorded in the previous three months of this year.

In the last three months, there have been over 2,100 clashes between the military and joint revolutionary forces. Revolutionary groups have also reported carrying out more than 2,000 targeted attacks against the military council.

The largest military operation during this period was Operation 1027 Part (2), which took place in northern Shan State. Nyan Lynn Thit Analytica also reported that within three months, ethnic armed forces and revolutionary groups captured 12 towns across Northern Shan State, Kachin State, Mandalay Region, and Rakhine State.
