Nationwide Flood Coincides with Junta Aerial Bombings in Multiple Townships

According to local news sources and a press release from the TNLA, the terrorist junta carried out aerial bombings in Nawnghkio, Lashio, and Myawaddy during a time of severe flooding across Myanmar, which has left many people dead and missing.


On the afternoon of September 13th, the junta bombed Nawnghkio repeatedly, with bombs landing near the police station and in residential areas, destroying buildings. The junta dropped 13 bombs on Nawnghkio on that day.


On September 6th, a 500-pound bomb was dropped in Namhkan, killing 11 civilians and injuring 11 others, despite no active fighting in the area. According to local residents, on September 13th at 7:00 p.m., a junta plane bombed Nam Pao village in Lashio Township, and at 7:30 p.m., bombings were reported in Lay Kay Kaw New Town and Hti Mae Wakhi village in Myawaddy Township, Karen State.
