A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today between the National Unity Government (NUG) and the All Burma Student Democratic Front (ABSDF). The agreement, signed on 12 September, is based on mutual understanding and the recognition of political dignity, with the aim of building a strong relationship between the two organizations, eliminating military dictatorship, and working together toward the development of a future federal democratic union. According to the MoU, the NUG and ABSDF will collaborate in the political, public organizing, military, and financial sectors.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by NUG Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than, Defense Minister U Yi Mon, and Home Affairs and Immigration Minister U Lwin Ko Lat. Representing the ABSDF were Chairman Comrade Than Gyal, Vice Chairman Comrade La Sai, General Secretary Comrade Sanny, Joint Secretary General (1) Comrade Kyaw Lin, Joint Secretary General (2) Comrade Ye Htut (also known as Hla Htay), along with members of the Leading Central Committee, Central Executive Committee, and leaders from various regions.
