Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, met with Mr. Philémon Yang, the incoming President of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, on September 16.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun discussed the current situation in Myanmar, as well as global developments and challenges to international peace and stability. Mr. Philémon Yang, the former Prime Minister of Cameroon, was elected by acclamation as president of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly, which was opened on September 10.
