Monastery Bombing in Madaya Township Kills 12, Including Monks and Children

Twelve people, including monks and children, were killed in an airstrike when bombs were dropped by a plane at a monastery camp in Waw Su village, Madaya Township, Mandalay Region.


On October 11 at 1:00 p.m., the terrorist army carried out an aerial bombing of a military evacuation camp at the Waw Su village monastery, resulting in the deaths of 12 individuals, including 3 monks and 1 child. An additional 30 people were injured in the attack.


Despite no active fighting in the area, the terrorist army has been dropping bombs and firing heavy weapons at locations where civilians have sought refuge, including the evacuation camp in Waw Su village.


Currently, the terrorist army continues to patrol Madaya Township, with ongoing clashes against the People’s Defense Forces.
