MNDAA Releases and Financially Assists Families of Detained Junta Troops in Northern Shan State

The Kokang Army (Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army) released a statement that each family of prissoners of war captured by the MNDAA in Lashio City, Northern Shan State, Myanmar, was provided with 50,000 Kyats for travel expenses and released.

On August 3rd, after the Kokang Army captured the North East Command Headquarters based in Lashio City, all the coup forces surrendered, and the army families were moved to the rear echelon of the Kokang Army together with the prisoners of war. The MNDAA reported that more than 380 family members of the military coup d'état were released with a travel allowance of 50,000 Kyats per family, and all military family members were brought to safety.
