Military Junta Conducts Airstrike on Hsipaw with 50 Bombs, Killing 1 Civilian and Injuring Another

On September 16, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., the military junta conducted an airstrike on Hsipaw Township, Shan State, using a Y-12 aircraft to drop 50 bombs consecutively. The bombs exploded in the western ward of Hsipaw and inside the Sin Mar Lar park. According to the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), the explosions resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to another. Residential buildings were also reported to be damaged.


It was also reported that on the night of September 15, at around 9:00 p.m., artillery shells fired from a junta base landed in Zat Su ward of Hsipaw, setting a house on fire.
