Malaysia Urges UN Action on Myanmar Crisis

Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamed Hasan has called on the United Nations to take decisive action regarding the ongoing crises in Myanmar and Palestine. During a meeting at the UN headquarters, Hasan urged UN Secretary-General António Guterres to adopt measures that would effectively address the human rights violations and conflicts in both regions.

"The situation is very serious, with confrontations and human rights violations taking place in these countries. We expressed our concerns and asked for decisions that would help the people of Myanmar and Palestine," Hasan told reporters after the meeting.

He also highlighted Malaysia’s upcoming role as chair of ASEAN in 2025 and discussed the nation's readiness to cooperate closely with the UN in addressing regional issues.
