Khin Oo Township, Kanthit Village was burned for the fourth time and more than 60 houses were damaged.


Sagaing Division, Khin Oo Township, Kanthit Village was burned for the fourth time by military council soldiers on June 4, causing further damage to 63 houses.

That village from 2022 June to 2023 June, a total of 328 houses were destroyed by fire four times in one year.



Since June 1, a force of about 100 soldiers has entered Ywarthit Village in Khin Oo Township, burned down seven houses, and killed a 50-year-old man.


On the morning of June 6, residents said that the convoy had left for Kantbalu Township.

On June 2, PDF forces based in Khin Oo said that there was still a battle between the PDF joint forces and the military council forces near the village of Mayaninn.


About 10,000 residents from 17 villages such as Mayaninn, Aung Tha, InnPauk, Montaw, and Kanthit where started were forced to leave their homes due to the fighting, but some of them have returned to their villages, the residents said.



From 2021 February 1 to 2023 June 4, Khin Oo Township's information team announced on June 6 that nearly 6,000 homes in 74 villages in Khin Oo Township had been burned down.
