Kan Thit Village in Khin Oo Township was burned down five times now.


On June 14th in Sagaing region, residents said that the soldiers of the Military Council entered and set fire to Kan Thit Village in Khin Oo Township for the fifth time.


Around 10,000 local residents from more than 10 nearby villages, including Kant Thit village, are also fleeing to safety.




According to a resident who did not want to be named for security reasons, the army of the military council that came from Khin Oo entered and set fire to Kan Thit Village, which is about four miles west of the city, at 9:30 in the morning.


"When we entered the village of Kan Thit, we hit two landmines and started a fire at 9:30 in the morning. After they were set off, the defense teams who were waiting near the Kan Thit bridge attacked with mines. There was a mine near the Kan Thit bridge. We are working to return the wounded to Khin Oo township."



As the convoy has not yet left, the exact state of the damage is not yet known. On the night of June 13, about 20 military council soldiers who came out from Khin Oo township to the west side of Kan Thit village were killed as well, according to a local defense force.



Residents said that the Military Council troops currently near the Kan Thit Bridge may enter a column to the west of the Kan Thit village along the Khin Oo-Ray Oo highway.



So far in 2023, for Kan Thit village, on June 4th, 63 homes were destroyed by fire. On May 19, more than 260 homes and in November of 2022, 7 houses were burned down, and in June, 52 houses, a total of 382 houses were burnt down as well.
