Intain's view of the Inle area that was damaged by the flood

In Nyangshwe Township, southern Shan State, residents said most of their homes were flooded due to rising lake water.


In Inlay Lake, water rose through inlets starting around September 8. Until September 20 Most of the lower floors of the two-story houses and long brick houses near Phong Pagoda were submerged.


On September 21, U Mya Aye, a student leader of the 88th generation, reported on the damage caused by the rising lake water on social media.


Some 171 villages in the Inlay region are flooded and need help, including food and medicine, flood relief workers and some residents said.
