Food support to 2 villages in Myaung Township that were burned by the military council’s army.
According to the leader of the charity group helpful hands, they provided oil and food in the afternoon of August 6 to the local people of the 2 villages that were burned by the military council in Myaung Township in Sagaing. He said that they donated 4 half gallons of rice per marriage. 50 tical of oil, soup powder 25 ticals, 50 ticals of vegetarian meat to 114 households in Shwepaukpin village and 3 bags of rice (24 half gallons per bag), 10 visses of oil, 20 visses of vegetarian meat, 10 viss of salt and 20 bags of monosodium glutamate (25 ticals per bag) for 20 fire-affected households from another village. Reportedly, those 2 villages were burned down by military council soldiers in the middle of last July 27th.
"The donation was made to Shwepaukpim Village and a village whose name cannot be disclosed due to security reasons. Those affected by the fire in those 2 villages are currently living in temporary thatched roof tents after cleaning up the burnt areas of their homes," said the leader of the helpful hands' charity group. Additionally, CDM health workers provided the residents of Shwepaukpin village with the necessary medical supplies as well as free health care. HERO Myaung Guerrilla Force, The BLOOD BROTHERS Force, and the Desert’s Hawk Force provided security assistance on this trip.
Last July 27th, the helpful hands charity group also provided rice to the people who fled the war in Kyaukyit village and Koepin village in Myaung township.
