Coup Army Bombs Kutkai City, Resulting in Multiple Casualties Today, on August 5th, the coup army dropped two 500-pound bombs on the city of Kutkai in northern Shan State, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to four others.


The attack also destroyed five houses, including shops, which were completely consumed by fire. Earlier, a reconnaissance aircraft from the military coup flew over Kutkai. Subsequently, between 3:05 pm and 3:30 pm, the coup army dropped seven 500-pound bombs in four waves. The bombing caused explosions at an intersection, the city market, and other areas, killing three men on motorcycles and two local residents, while injuring four people.


This incident follows a similar attack on July 27th, when seven local residents were killed after the coup army bombed the market in Hseni town, which is controlled by the MNDAA. The town of Laukkaing has also been frequently bombarded by coup army planes.
