The National Unity Government (NUG) has engaged with officials expected to serve closely under the incoming U.S. administration of President Donald Trump, according to Dr. Sasa, NUG’s Minister of International Cooperation.

“Meeting with the U.S. government has become very important. President Donald Trump also met with leaders close to him, senators close to him, and Congressmen close to him. I discussed a lot with them,” Dr. Sasa stated during a public meeting held on December 14 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He revealed that he had discussions with five members of the U.S. Congress, including representatives from four committees focused on Indo-Pacific affairs. Dr. Sasa added that further meetings with U.S. government officials and congressional representatives are scheduled for next year.
