According to residents, around 2,000 civilians have been forced to flee to the villages between Kyindway, Kanpetlet Township, and Saw, Magway Township, southern Chin State, due to the air and land offensive of the military council.

After that, as the fighting continued to intensify, civilians from nearby villages were fleeing to safety, said a resident of Kanpetlet Township.

"Ever since the air attack on the village, they have been running away because of fear. All the villages between Kyindway, Kanpetlet Township, and Saw, Magway Township are avoided. They have to avoid the nearby forests. Yesterday, the air attack stopped, but the fighting is intense.

He said that since they are fleeing into the jungles, they also need shelter and food.
