On October 25, Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister of Health and Education for the National Unity Government (NUG), had a town hall meeting with members of the Myanmar ethnic community in California’s San Francisco Bay Area, USA. The event took place at the Myanmar Community & Cultural Centre.
In his remarks, Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe encouraged unified action in advocating for the release of State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint, and other political detainees. He explained the phases of political cooperation between the NUG and Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs) and discussed steps toward forming a Transitional National Unity Government (T-NUG) as part of Myanmar’s move toward a federal system. The event concluded with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to participate and ask questions.
