Deputy Director of the Mandalay Region Judiciary was killed and the house was burned down
According to people close to the military group, Daw Lay Kyi, Deputy Director of the Mandalay Region Judiciary, and one of her maids were killed at their home this morning and their home was also burned down.
The house was situated between 65th and 66th street, 31st road, PyiGyiMyatShin Ward, ChanAyeTharSan Township where there was a fire at three in the morning. People nearby helped put out the fire, then they found the bodies of two women inside the warehouse.
"They went because of the news of a fire. They found two bodies of women who had been killed in the house. The fire was deliberately set. The details of the rest are unknown," said a relief worker.
It is reported that the Deputy Director of the Mandalay Region Judiciary was found dead on the bed in the ground floor living room of the three-story building.
Deputy Director Daw Lay Kyi died with a yellow-handled steel knife stuck in her neck, as well as three cuts on her left cheek. According to people close to the military group, she also received a cut wound on her left forehead.
In addition, her maid was found dead at the foot of the stairs on the second floor of the house without any external injuries. The military council is reportedly continuing to investigate the murder of the two women at their home.
Up until now, the accused has not been arrested. The fire at Daw Lay Kyi's house was extinguished in time, so it did not spread to other houses, but only some of the appliances inside that house were damaged.
