Demonstration Held in New York for Continued Presence of Myanmar's Permanent Representative, U Kyaw Moe Tun at the UN

Near the UN Headquarters in New York City, at Dag Hammerskjold Plaza, a rally titled "Our Ambassador, Myanmar's Voice" was held to advocate for the continued presence of Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar's Permanent Representative to the UN, as part of the Global Action for Credential Campaign 2024.

During the event, Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, along with Health Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe and Deputy Foreign Minister U Moe Zaw Oo from the National Unity Government (NUG), delivered speeches.

Following the speeches, organizers explained about the Global Action for Credential Campaign 2024, and representatives from various states and organizations discussed their positions regarding the campaign.

In addition to advocating for U Kyaw Moe Tun's continued presence as a representative of the Myanmar people at the UN, the rally also called for international action to isolate the military junta, which is blatantly committing unlawful activities, and to help bring about the end of military rule in Myanmar.

From in front of the UN Headquarters, voices from various ethnic groups from Myanmar resonated through Times Square as they marched toward the heart of New York City.

The rally was organized by the New York City Burmese Community (NYCBC), with participation from thousands of Myanmar ethnic community members from various states across the United States.
