The coup army bombed the public hospital in the city of Laukkaing, which was occupied by the Kokang Army in northern Shan State, Myanmar. Ten people died, including a pregnant woman.
It is reported that 10 people, including a pregnant mother and a child, were killed when the coup army launched another aerial bombardment of the city of Laukkaing in northern Shan State at around 1:00 a.m. this morning.
Fires were burning near the Tongchang Tower and the public hospital in Laukkaing City, which were bombed by the coup army, and Kokang soldiers were extinguishing the fire. Local residents said no one was allowed inside.
While the Kokang Army and joint forces were attacking the Northeast Command Headquarters in Lashio, Northern Shan State, the coup army bombed a hospital full of people in Laukkaing. A local resident said that 10 buildings were on fire and emergency rescue was needed.
From July 14 to today, August 2, Laukkaing has been bombed by the coup army at least four times, killing at least 20 people. At 1:30 a.m. on July 23, the coup army launched an aerial bombardment of Laukkaing city, destroying many hotels and shops.
At present, the Kokang Army has taken control of the 68th Infantry Battalion, the 41st Infantry Battalion, the 507th Light Infantry Battalion, and the 912th Field Engineer Corps of the Northeast Command in Lashio and is attacking the headquarters of the Northeast Command.
