A general who served as a military commander was arrested by ethnic revolutionary groups for the first time in more than 3 years of the Spring Revolution. After the military coup in Myanmar in February 2021, ethnic revolutionary forces,, the PDF forces and the coup army have been fierce, with both sides and arresting each other.
It was the first time that a general who was in charge of the regional military headquarters on the side of the coup army was arrested during the fighting between MNDAA and joint forces in Lashio, northern Shan State, Myanmar. Two of Brigadier Generals also included with him.
It is reported that those who arrested were Brigadier General Myo Min Htwe, Commander of No. 1 Operation Command Headquarters, along with General Soe Tint, and Brigadier General Than Htin Soe, Commander-In-Chief of the Northeast Military Command.
General Soe Tint, Commander-In-Chief of the Northeast Regional Military, is a graduate of the 16th Army Training School, and the regional military commander, Brigadier General Thant Htin Soe, is from the Military University Batch-41, and Brigadier General Myo Min Htwe is the commander of the Kyaukme-based Operations Command Headquarters.
