Arrested singer Byuhar charged with defamation.
A family member said that the arrested hip-hop singer, ByuHar, has been charged under Section 505 (a) of the National Defamation Law at the North Dagon Police Station in Yangon.
On May 23rd, singer ByuHar went live on his social media page to criticize the military leader and the Minister of Electricity of the Military Council about the issue of not having regular electricity.
In that video file, the singer also criticized military leader Min Aung Hlaing as incompetent and compared the electricity supply situation under the previous NLD government to the military council's handling of the electricity issue.
After that, there was incitement to arrest the singer through the propaganda telegram channels of the military group, and the next day, he was arrested at his home in North Dagon Township, Yangon.
According to the current situation, the singer's health is good, and although there are a few injuries from the beating during the interrogation, it is said that they are not serious.
There are also speculations that singer ByuHar may have been arrested because he criticized the power outage on his social media page, comparing it to the previous civilian government.
