Residents say that soldiers from the No.5 Border Guard Police Sub-Division of the coup army, the only one left in Maungtaw township on the border of Myanmar and Bangladesh, have fled from the camp. The Arakha Army AA started attacking the camp on the morning of July 30, and the coup army's soldiers retreated and fled on July 31.
Locals confirmed that the No. 5 Border Guard Police Sub-Division based in Moungdaw, suffered casualties in the camp as a result of the AA attack, as well as being attack on the way to run.
The navy and aircraft are continuously firing to help for the coup army’s soldiers who are trying to escape through the port of Maungdaw.
They are trapped, and fierce fighting is going on in Maungdaw city between the coup army and the AA.
Locals said that the coup army is bombing with 3 jet fighters. Tens of thousands of civilians were killed and injured by the coup army's airstrikes since before dawn on July 31st. The Arakha Army AA has been able to capture the coup military bases one by one, around Maungdaw since the beginning of June.
After occupying No. 5 Border Guard Police Sub-Division, which AA is currently attacking, they will be able to fully control the entire township, Maungdaw, including along the Indian border and Bangladesh border. In addition, the AA is simultaneously attacking the last remaining camp of Ta Bya Chai Navy in Thandwe Township, Southern Rakhine State.
Palatwa Township in Chin State and 9 townships in Rakhine State have been captured by AA.
