The Arakha Army stated that it was deeply saddened to hear through social media that many Rohingyas had been struck by heavy weapons or small arms, bombed, drowned, or killed by airstrikes or large explosions. The AA clarified that these deaths did not occur in areas under their control and were not related to them in any way.
The AA is currently investigating the details of the incident and will release the findings as soon as possible. The Rakhine National League/Arakha Army emphasized that its members are trained to follow military discipline, warrior ethics, human rights law, and international humanitarian law. Reports indicate that the AA has been instructed clearly on these principles since basic military training. As an organization that does not encourage violence, the AA condemns all forms of violence. The AA also stated that they will not allow any terrorist to set foot in the Arakha region and will destroy every terrorist organization.
Additionally, on August 7, the AA urged people who fled Maungdaw town in Rakhine State to move to areas where the Arakha Army is located. Those trapped in the area were advised to mark themselves with white flags. A notification has been issued, urging civilians to avoid places where terrorist groups are preparing for resistance, such as roads, homes, buildings where snipers are located, and areas where terrorist military personnel or their affiliates, including ARSA, RSO, and ARA members, might be using civilians as human shields. Civilians were informed to stay as far away from these areas as possible.
Since June 16, even before the battle to take over Maungdaw began, it was reported that civilians in Maungdaw had been notified in advance to leave as soon as possible. In addition to the Muslims trapped in Maungdaw , Rakhine and Hindu minority groups such as the Khami, who are threatened by terrorists, face daily threats of torture and death.
