Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun said that to save the lives of the people of Burma, the International Criminal Court needs to take timely action.



Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, said that the International Criminal Court needs to take timely action to save the lives of Myanmar people who are dying every day due to the terrorist army.



At the UN Security Council meeting held on July 18 to mark the 25th anniversary of the ratification of the Treaty of Rome, Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun reiterated his request to the Security Council to transfer the terrorist army to the International Criminal Court to ensure that the perpetrators of the crimes are held accountable before the lives of the Burmese people are lost even more.



He also pointed out that the illegal army in Myanmar is committing serious crimes against the entire population and that the people are helpless and need international assistance.


The ambassador also added that Myanmar supports the further expansion of relations based on mutual benefit and the ability to carry out responsibilities effectively, mutual respect between the United Nations and the International Criminal Court, and authority.
