A 107-mm rocket targeted the Southern Command Headquarters (SCH) based in Taungoo, Bago Region.

According to a report from Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM), under their leadership, along with the NSA31 urban guerrilla group and the Yedashe operation teams of the Sittaung River Basin, five 107-mm rockets were launched at around 4 a.m. today. Of these, four successfully hit the Southern Command Headquarters.


Mission 23 opened fire, damaging the roof of the SCH office and killing three lower-ranking soldiers while wounding an adjutant officer. It was initially reported that the officers' quarters were also hit, resulting in injuries to three officers. The extent of the damage is still under investigation.


The Southern Command Headquarters is a key regional military base that oversees the operations of military council troops and camps involved in combat against revolutionary forces in the Bago Region and Karen states. This mission marks BWM's 23rd operation and is said to be the first attack on the Southern Command. The exact number of casualties and the full scope of the damage are yet to be confirmed.
