The Karenni College of Social Sciences and Humanities marked a significant milestone by holding its first-ever graduation ceremony. Despite the difficult circumstances within Karenni Stateโs revolutionary territories, the event celebrated the achievements of 23 dedicated graduates who successfully completed their studies.
According to a report by Karenni Peopleโs Voice, the ceremony took place on December 2, 2024, at a location in Karenni State and featured a variety of activities. Principal Daw Khin Sandar Nyunt and other officials delivered speeches that highlighted the importance of education in the region. The program also included vibrant cultural performances, showcasing traditional Kayaw and Kayan dances. Degrees were awarded to the graduates, and outstanding students were recognized with special awards.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 23 students graduated from the college. Enrollment has since increased, with 43 students currently pursuing studies for the 2024-2025 academic year.
