𝘚𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 15, 2024

On December 14, 2024, over 140 million Kyat worth of junta-linked products, including 𝘔𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘮𝘢𝘳 𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘳 and 𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘥 liquor, were destroyed in Khin-U Township, Sagaing Region. The destruction was carried out by the Khin-U Township People’s Administration Team and the People’s Defense Team in front of the local public, as part of efforts to cut off financial support to the military junta.

The public has been urged to boycott junta-produced goods, including alcohol, beer, soft drinks, energy drinks, cigarettes, and instant coffee and tea mix brands such as 𝘕𝘢𝘯 𝘔𝘺𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨 and 𝘚𝘩𝘸𝘦 𝘗𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘖𝘰. Military-backed transportation services like 𝘚𝘩𝘸𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘶, 𝘚𝘩𝘸𝘦 𝘔𝘺𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘩𝘶, 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘶, 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘔𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘛𝘩𝘶, and 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘔𝘢 𝘓𝘢𝘺, as well as the 𝘈𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘳 𝘓𝘢𝘺 lottery, have also been targeted for boycotts. Resistance groups have highlighted that these products directly fund the junta, enabling them to commit atrocities such as airstrikes against civilians.

Revolutionary groups have called on the public to stop purchasing junta-affiliated goods, emphasizing that such products pose significant threats to both the people and the revolutionary forces.
