On December 3, 2024, during a government meeting, Mahn Winn Khaing Than, Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG), warned that the revolution now faces an increasingly limited timeframe. He urged that more focus be placed on key issues that directly contribute to the success of the revolution due to the narrowing time constraints.

Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than stated, “𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Regarding the International Criminal Court (ICC)’s request for the arrest of Myanmar’s military leaders in relation to the Rohingya issue, he also emphasized that revolutionary forces must seize the opportunity to escalate actions that could ultimately dismantle the military junta.
