Myanmar's renowned Thingyan Water Festival has been officially recognized and inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as reported by ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ ๐˜Ž๐˜ญ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฃ๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜•๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ ๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜จ๐˜ฉ๐˜ต ๐˜ฐ๐˜ง ๐˜”๐˜บ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฎ๐˜ข๐˜ณ.


The decision was made during the 9th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), held in Paraguay from December 2 to 7.

This marks the first occasion a Myanmar cultural tradition has been included on UNESCO's esteemed list, highlighting the festival's significance as a vital element of the nation's cultural heritage.
