In Myanmar's Shan State, the city of Kyaukme was targeted nine times by the coup army using fighter jets. On August 3, the TNLA announced that the TNLA, coalition forces, and the coup army were engaged in fierce fighting in the Taang State Brigade-2 area, based in Kyaukme, Northern Shan State, Myanmar. The coup army had launched an aerial bombardment.

The Taang Army attacked the remaining military base of the coup army in Kyaukme Township, specifically targeting Military Operations Command 1 (MOC 1), the 501st Light Infantry Battalion, and the 502nd Light Infantry Battalion starting at 9:00 a.m. on August 3.

Reports indicate that the troubled coup army fired nine times with fighter jets near their camp and the Padamyar Pagoda. Additionally, the coup armyโ€™s Y-12 plane dropped 22 bombs around the golf course and the 501st Light Infantry Battalion.

The statement mentions that the coup army, in a state of distress, carried out nine airstrikes with Y-12 aircraft and used heavy weapons within the 501st Light Infantry Battalion and 502nd Light Infantry Battalion in Kyaukme Township. Due to communication difficulties, the list of casualties has not yet been released.
