18 KNDF Medical Cadets Drown in Karenni State, Central Command Announces Investigation

The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) officially announced that 18 of its medic trainees tragically drowned in Karenni State.

The incident occurred on the night of September 11 when the trainees from the KNDF’s medical department, while undergoing a training mission, attempted to cross a stream. The accident occurred, and 18 trainees were swept away and lost their lives.

“The medic training program was established to meet the needs of the KNDF and allied forces to enhance human resources in Karenni State. The goal was to increase the number of medics to support the revolution. However, this tragic accident has claimed the lives of 18 trainees, and the KNDF expresses its deepest condolences to their families, their respective battalions, and units involved,” the KNDF said in their statement.

The KNDF stated that a thorough investigation into the incident would be conducted by its central command and that the findings would be shared with relevant units and the public.

The KNDF further stated that they, along with allied forces, will continue their revolutionary efforts and strive to minimize errors while fulfilling their responsibilities with full accountability.
