The Myanmar Military Council and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) delegations are scheduled to meet in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China, on December 15, 2024, according to sources close to the MNDAA.

The meeting follows the MNDAA's December 3 statement expressing its intention to resolve Myanmarโ€™s ongoing internal conflict through political dialogue. The group also declared a halt to offensive military operations, urging the Myanmar military to suspend air and ground attacks.

Political analysts believe that Chinaโ€™s intensified engagement reflects its strategic interest in stabilizing the China-Myanmar border and resuming border trade amid escalating conflict.โฉ
